Macon County Public Health offers Foreign Travel immunizations and consultation with a Healthcare
provider. Before making an appointment here is some important information you need to know:

You must make an appointment to get foreign travel vaccines- We highly recommend this appointment be a month
before you travel. Call 828-349-2081 to make this appointment
A nurse will contact you before your appointment to get more information from you before your appointment
Some vaccines required for travel in some countries must be prepaid, and then ordered before your appointment
Some immunications need to be given several weeks before travel in order to offer full protection before you leave to travel
There are fees for almost all foreign travel vaccines. Payment is expected at the time of services
Please bring your insurance card with you to the appointment - we bill Medicaid, Medicare and other private insurances
Self-Pay - we accept cash, credit, money order, checks, debit and credit cards
The state of North Carolina offers certain free vaccinations to those who qualify
Please bring to your appointment:
Any immunization records you may have
Forms you may need completed for your travel
Trip itinerary
List of current medications and allergies
Insurance information and payment for your visit
